Chicken Shawarma Wraps

Straight from Middle Eastern street markets, chicken shawarma wraps are packed with bold spices, juicy meat, and creamy sauces wrapped in soft pita.

Ingredients:

  • 500g boneless chicken thighs
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Pita bread
  • Toppings: lettuce, tomato, onion, and garlic yogurt sauce

Preparation:

  1. In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and spices. Add chicken and marinate for at least one hour.
  2. Grill or pan-fry chicken until golden brown. Slice thinly.
  3. Warm the pita and layer lettuce, tomato, onion, and chicken.
  4. Drizzle with garlic yogurt sauce and wrap tightly.
